My first trip to Adaklu Aziedukope Primary (part 1)

So we left the house in Accra (Ghana’s capital) yesterday at 6.15am and returned home at 11.45pm. It was a busy day that I for one certainly won’t be forgetting in a hurry! Due to it raining in the morning the ride to the villages’ closest town, Ho was a very cool and relaxed one. Once we got into town it was decided that the Head teacher and a few of the villagers should do the buying of the main materials to ensure they are given fair prices which they could then try to bargain a better deal for. With myself and Maire there the fear was the sellers would try and charge us more assuming that as foriegners we have money to spend! We had several people who were willing to help bring the goods to the village including Mr Ironman who is pictured aboved refusing help from anybody that offered! “You see I am strong!” he laughed as I asked him to consider letting some of the others help him.
