Understanding the importance of taking time out to go to school.
The BBC’s Panorama screened a program called Chocolate: The Bitter Truth on Wednesday 24th March on BBC One about the use of child labour in the making of chocolate. It highlighted the harsh reality of children being forced to work on cocoa farm instead of going to school. The program paid particular attention to the children who were trafficked into Ghana from neighbouring countries to work. Read more >>
Realise the value of time!!!
Time is one variable in life we have abousltely no control over. Once it’s gone it’s gone. Therefore it is important to remember the value of time as the video above highlights.
It’s all good saying that you will do something later, but will you actually have the time to even do so. If you want to make a difference have the courage to use your time wisely enough to make that difference now whilst you still have the time. You will never get the five minutes it has taken you watch the above video and to read this post back but you do have the next five to think about how you can actually making a difference and then DO IT!!!
Taking the time out to give to others

In the past few months many people have taken the time to donate goods to Yaarah Schools to be sent to Adaklu Aziedukope Primary School. Donations have ranged from puzzles to soft toys to classroom supplies as you can see from the pictures. So far we have shipped over 4 barrels full of things for the school at a total cost of £120 per barrel. Read more >>

Yaarah Schools theme for March is TIME. It’s important to remember that time waits to no one so you may as well try to use it effectively than just waste it! The clock keeps clicking no matter what you do!
Kicking Yaarah Schools into the minds of many more…!

So last Sunday saw the Charity Football Tournament in aid of Yaarah Schools take place at The Pavilion. It seemed almost destined to be a great day as the sun was up from early on and stayed shining throughout the day! With a £250 prize, 16 teams and a lot of pride to defend the day was bound to be full of emotion and certainly lived up to expectations.
