People NEVER forget a helping hand…

History has taught us that a lot of positive is derived from tragedies. The recent massive destruction of Haiti done by an earthquake has re-opened the eyes of the world as to what we value the most. Watching the disaster in Haiti, we have seen people who have lost their families and properties, cry their hearts out for the families they have lost, forgetting about the expensive buildings that have gone down. Through this tragic event, I have seen that the value of the people in our lives out weight any other possession we acquire. For the rest of the world, we have seen that our life and lifestyle is pretty fragile, and can change within minutes. You might be in a castle today, and be homeless in the same day, the president of Haiti can relate. No matter how far you have gotten in life, you are not above getting help, and so giving help should be a responsibility of ours.
In April I will be joining another member of the Yaarah Schools team in Ghana to oversee the start of work on the first classroom; I’m sooo excited that our visions and dreams for this school are starting to become a reality! We will also be handing out the many donations collected this year. I want to do what I can on the ground for the Adaklu Aziedukope Primary School and hope that you will find the time this year to help someone a little worse off than you. Be it a simple smile or a big donation, make your contribution and make a difference.
